French toast has always been one of my favorite breakfasts, but it can be a real sugar bomb. I made this updated version with healthier ingredients to give it a lot of flavor with a healthy twist. The vanilla coconut almond milk and the vanilla extract give it a delicious vanilla flavor with a slight hint of coconut. It is super low in fat and high in protein. You can top it with whatever you like!

2 slices Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Whole Grain Bread
2 egg whites
2 tbsp Almond Breeze Vanilla Coconut Almond Milk
1/2 tsp pure vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Separate egg whites from yolks. In a wide bowl, wisk together egg whites with the almond milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. Place the bread in the mixture and let it soak up the liquid.

Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Make sure the bread has absorbed all of the liquid. Place slices in pan and cook for 3-6 minutes on each side depending on your heat level. The toast should become a light golden brown color.

Remove from heat and top with your favorite toppings. You can add fruit,
syrup, jam, or whatever you like! Here I added 1 tbsp of organic maple syrup, an extra sprinkling of cinnamon, and a side of blueberries and kiwi. The possibilities are endless!


To make this version with blackberry syrup, heat a half cup of blackberries in a pan over medium low heat with 1 tsp coconut oil and 1 tsp Truvia natural sweetener, mashing the blackberries slightly as they heat. So good!
