This delicious cookies and cream protein smoothie is great for breakfast, a snack, dessert, or before or after your work out. There’s only four ingredients, so it’s super easy to make and you’ll get a great supply of protein with some extra omega 3’s and fiber. You’ll also get tons of calcium with very few carbs and sugar. I love a good protein shake that’s not high in sugar or carbs!

Cookies and Cream Protein Smoothie Ingredients

1 scoop Reserveage Organics Vanilla Grass Fed Whey Protein
1 cup Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1 tbsp Spectrum Essentials Chia and Flax Seed Decadent Blend with Coconut and Cocoa

3 ice cubes

This may seem like a more high-end shake, but the average cost is less than your average store bought protein shake. It may cost a little more to eat high-quality, natural and/or organic foods, but when you’re avoiding chemicals and preservatives, I think it’s totally worth it.

Directions to make a Cookies and Cream Protein Smoothie

Blend all ingredients in a blender for about 30 seconds to one minute until smooth. It should have the consistency of a milkshake. Keep in mind that chia seeds form a gel when left in liquid for awhile, so if you make this ahead of time it gets thicker and the seeds get a little chewy so if you don’t like that texture, make it when you want to drink it. If you want it extra chocolatey, add another tablespoon of the chia flax blend for only 35 more calories. So yummy!!
